What is Zoning?

Zoning regulations divide the village into districts that control how land and buildings can be used. Zoning helps ensure compatible land uses, protects property values, and guides the orderly growth and development of the community.

Before making changes to your property — including new construction, additions, fences, signs, or changes in use — contact Village Hall to determine if a zoning permit is required.

How to Apply for a Zoning Permit

  1. Contact Village Hall

Call or visit Village Hall to discuss your project and determine if a zoning permit is required before you begin any work.

  2. Submit Application

Complete the zoning permit application and submit it along with any required site plans or supporting documents to Village Hall.

  3. Receive Approval

The Zoning Inspector will review your application. Once approved you will receive your permit and may proceed with your project.
